As you can see in the photos, I placed it next to my standard Logitech mouse for scale. It is incredibly compact—roughly the same footprint as a computer mouse. This makes it the perfect size to keep on a desk for quick breaks or to toss in a bag for travel without taking up any room. It feels comfortable in the hand, much like a small retro game controller.
​Display & Build:
The first thing that stands out is the display. It is very bright and vibrant—much better than I expected for a device at this price point. The grid lights up clearly (see photos), making it easy to distinguish the colors even in a well-lit room. The buttons have a nice tactile feel to them as well.
​Summary:
The box claims thousands of levels, so there is plenty of replay value here. If you like logic puzzles, Sudoku, or just want a high-tech fidget toy to keep your brain sharp, this is a fun little gadget.

Surprisingly Bright Screen & Great "Fidget" Size

My family is a fan of the game Mastermind so when I saw this Super Decoder Game I had to give it a try. It has 4 different games and 2 of them are similar to Mastermind so it's perfect for my family. The size is perfect for both children and adults to hold comfortably in their hands. It is lightweight and very portable - perfect for throwing in your purse or bag for playing on the go. I love that it is rechargeable rather than requiring batteries. My son's think it looks like a spy tool, which lends in to the decoder aspect of it. The controls are easy to use, with buttons to press and a dial to spin to make moves. Where I find the item lacking is in the instructions. They are in a small font and we're a bit difficult for my 50 year old eyes to read lol. They also aren't the clearest instructions. For one it has the 4 available games listed as game 1, game 2, game 3 and game 4 along with the game names. However when you cycle through the games they aren't in the same order as the instructions as shown in my video. This made it a little difficult to figure out which of the two code breaking games is which. The other two games - the snake game and color matching game - are much easier to discern from the other. The instructions for the color matching game are a little confusing and we still haven't figured out how to play it. The main reason I purchased this though was for the code breaking games and those don't disappoint. This is a fun little game that's great for playing at home, challenging each other, and taking on the go. I threw it in my purse before my son's doctor's appointment and it was great for keeping him occupied while in the waiting room.

It’s easy to pick up, great for travel or killing time, and kids (and adults) can get hooked fast.

That said, at around $33 it feels slightly expensive for what you’re getting. If it drops into the mid-$20s, it’s a much easier recommendation.

The code-breaking concept is engaging and provides that satisfying puzzle-solving experience that works across different age groups.
What makes this particularly good is that it does get difficult as you progress through the levels. The three difficulty settings (Easy with 3 colors up to Expert with 5 colors) provide a nice progression curve that keeps things challenging without being frustrating. The difficulty ramp adds to the fun rather than making it tedious - you feel genuinely accomplished when you crack the harder codes.
Having 4 different game modes (order mode, count mode, matching pairs, snake) provides variety so it doesn't get stale. The 36,000+ levels ensure there's always a new challenge waiting, which is great for replay value.
The solo and duo play options are smart - my kid can play independently to work on logic skills, or we can play together in Duo Mode taking turns setting codes for each other. It's become a fun bonding activity.
The rechargeable battery via USB-C is so much better than dealing with disposable batteries. The compact size makes it perfect for car rides, restaurants, or anywhere you need quiet entertainment. The silent mode is clutch for situations where you need kids occupied without noise.
For developing logic and deduction skills while actually having fun, this hits the mark perfectly!
